EMAS Foundation

Building Community with Montessori in Mind

EMAS Foundation is a charitable trust (SC046784). It was created as an umbrella body for the promotion of the Montessori approach across Scotland, beginning with communities in Edinburgh and the Lothians. The Foundation operates two main project areas:

  • Development of a bursary and scholarship fund to support access to education at Edinburgh Montessori Arts School.
  • Provision of Montessori inspired intergenerational community workshops.

In the academic year 2017-18 EMAS Foundation is piloting several local projects that create positive links across generations and encourage community spirit and learning for life.
